Ken Kobayashi is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Mitsubishi Corporation.

Mr. Kobayashi began his career in 1971 when he joined the shipping department of Mitsubishi Corporation. From 1980 to 2001, he took on progressively responsibilities in the Shipping and Industrial Department. In 2001, Mr. Kobayashi was promoted to General Manager of the Singapore Branch, where he became the Senior Vice President in 2003. In 2004, he became the Senior Vice President and Division Chief Operating Officer for the Plant Project Division until 2006, when he held the same positions in the Ship, Aerospace & Transportation Systems Division. From 2007-2010, he served as the Executive Vice President and Group Chief Executive Officer for the Industrial Finance, Logistics, & Development Group.

Mr. Kobayashi earned a degree in Law from the University of Tokyo in 1971.
