Beth Anderson is the vice president of Supply Chain Rate Capability for Commercial Airplanes Supplier Management. She was named to this position in October 2011. In this role, Anderson is responsible for managing the supply chain visibility and rate capability in support of airplane production rates.

Most recently, Anderson was director for the Interiors Responsibility Center (IRC). The IRC is a Boeing Fabrication business unit of more than 1,600 employees located in Everett, Wash., and North Charleston, S.C. Employees at this business unit design, manufacture, assemble and integrate a wide range of interior systems for production, after-market and spares for Boeing commercial jetliners, including the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Anderson focused on engaging people in an environment of trust for continued improvement in the organization’s Lean journey. Prior to her current assignment, Anderson was the Modification Services director for Commercial Aviation Services, which integrates avionics, airframe, propulsion, systems and interiors for airlines’ after-market airplanes. The unit is part of Technical Services, which operates in Everett, Wash. and Long Beach, Calif.

Anderson also worked as a stress engineer before being promoted to management positions in Design Engineering and Technical Services and Maintenance & Modification Engineering. She was also the director of Modification Engineering and Airframe as well as Propulsion & Systems. Anderson’s aerospace career began in 1985 when she joined McDonnell Douglas Corporation as a customer service engineer. She has a bachelor of science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Calif. She earned a master of science degree in Engineering and Program Management; and a certificate in Logistics Management from West Coast University, Los Angeles. In 2009 she attended the Advanced Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School Of Business.

Anderson is the Boeing executive focal for Cal-Poly; she is a member of the president’s cabinet and chair of the strategic planning committee. She served as the university’s scholarship and diversity focal, senior design advisor and chair for the engineering dean's advisory council. She is an executive champion for Boeing Women in Leadership. In past years, she served as both vice president and director of mentoring for the Amelia Earhart Society. In addition, she is currently serving on the board of directors for Boeing Tianjin Composites.

Anderson enjoys trips to the beach, swimming, biking and golfing with her family.
